A teacher, inspired as a child by the ill-fated Space Shuttle Challenger mission, faces her worst fears when she learns of the Columbia shuttle disaster in 2003. Her fourth-grade class enjoys an educational teleconference with Mission Control in Houston only hours before Columbia's fateful decent to Earth.
